Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence is “unlikely” to play this Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport shared on X that Lawrence is currently receiving treatment for his left shoulder. He was limited in Wednesday’s practice, with Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson being “noncommittal” about Lawrence’s availability for the game.
As of now, Lawrence ranks ninth in the NFL with over 2,000 passing yards and is tied for 10th in total touchdowns, per ESPN.
If Lawrence is unable to play, former first-round pick Mac Jones is expected to start. Jones, who attended high school at The Bolles School just a few miles from the Jaguars’ EverBank Stadium,
has seen limited action this season, throwing for just 28 yards in two games against the Buffalo Bills and Chicago Bears.

The last time Jones faced the Vikings was during a Thanksgiving game in 2022, when he started for the New England Patriots.
In that matchup, Jones threw 28 completions on 39 attempts for 382 yards and two touchdowns, though the Vikings won 33-26 at U.S. Bank Stadium.
The Vikings (6-2) will face the Jaguars (2-7) in Jacksonville on Sunday, with kickoff scheduled for noon.
