MAJOR NEWS; Team’s Star Player Injury Update Adds To Their Frustration After A Tough Season.

The Miami Dolphins are having a rough 2024 season, and things aren’t looking up following a concerning injury update for wide receiver Tyreek Hill. ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques reported that head coach Mike McDaniel stated Hill (wrist) would only play in the upcoming “Monday Night Football” game against the Rams if his body allows it.

Hill’s wrist injury was described as “heating up,” prompting the team to give it some time to “cool down” before making a final decision.

Hill, who leads the league in receiving yards since joining the Dolphins in 2022 with 3,955 yards, appeared on the injury report after missing Friday’s practice. The Dolphins are fortunate to have a Monday game, which gives Hill an extra day to recover.

However, if he’s unable to play, it would be another blow to a season that’s already been tough for Miami. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, for instance, missed four games after suffering a concussion in Week 2.

At 2-6, the Dolphins are currently 31st in the league in scoring, averaging just 15.5 points per game, a stark contrast to last season when they ranked second with 29.2 points per game.

Although the offense has shown improvement since Tagovailoa’s return in Week 8 against the Cardinals, the Dolphins have lost both games by a narrow margin of four points, with a combined score of 58-54.

Miami entered the 2024 season with high expectations, being one of the 10 teams favored to win 10 or more games and ranked 12th in preseason Super Bowl odds at +2500.

However, instead of contending for the Super Bowl, they now find themselves 4.5 games behind the Bills (7-2) for the top spot in the AFC East and ranked 12th in the conference.

If Hill isn’t able to suit up against the Rams (4-4), things could get even worse for the Dolphins. Given the way the season has unfolded, this latest injury setback may not be a huge shock to the team or its fans.
