MAJOR-NEWS: Unexpected Outcome As Vikings Lose Out on Explosive Young Dynamic Speedy Slot Receiver Playmaker as He Visits NFC Rival Bears – What’s Next?

After a busy first week of free agency, during which the Minnesota Vikings brought in 14 new players with over $300 million in contracts, there remains a quiet need for a third wide receiver in their offense. Jalen Nailor, a 2021 sixth-round pick, played all 17 games last season but struggled with consistency. He’s expected to compete for the role in training camp, but with Trent Sherfield joining the Denver Broncos and Brandon Powell still a free agent, the Vikings are looking to add competition.

The team recently invited former Arizona Cardinals second-round pick Rondale Moore for a visit on March 14, hoping to add a versatile slot receiver to their ranks. However, Moore left without signing a contract, and after several days, he’s exploring options with other teams, including within the NFC North. On March 17, Moore visited the Chicago Bears, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Moore appeared to be a low-risk, potentially high-reward addition for the Vikings. With a 4.32-second 40-yard dash time from the 2021 NFL Combine and still only 24 years old, he has potential. Over three seasons with the Cardinals, Moore posted 135 receptions for 1,201 yards, 52 carries for 249 yards, and four total touchdowns. He was traded to the Atlanta Falcons but suffered a season-ending knee injury in training camp.

Given that both the Vikings and Bears allowed Moore to leave without a contract, it raises questions about his health or physical status. Meanwhile, the Vikings have agreed to terms with Tim Jones on March 18, though he is expected to primarily contribute on special teams as a replacement for Sherfield. While Moore remains unsigned, it seems he’s weighing multiple offers as he continues his free-agent journey.
