MAJOR RECRUITING WIN! DB J’Vari Flowers picks #Gators over Notre Dame & Miami in huge late-cycle decision! Where does this put UF’s 2025 class?

The Florida Gators secured a major commitment on Monday night from J’Vari Flowers, a defensive back who recently reclassified from the 2026 class to the 2025 class.

Flowers, a 5-10, 175-pound prospect from Miami’s Northwestern High School, chose Florida over Notre Dame, Auburn, and Miami. During his commitment ceremony, he declared, “For the next three or four years, I will be going to the University of Florida.”

Originally part of the 2026 class, Flowers made the decision in February to reclassify to 2025. He took several official visits earlier this year to help make his decision, with plans to enroll in college this summer.

Considered one of the top defensive backs in the nation, Flowers received offers from more than 30 schools and participated in the Under Armour All-American game earlier this year. He is also the cousin of former USF quarterback Quinton Flowers, who played in the NFL and XFL.

On the field, Flowers is known for his aggressive play against both the run and the pass, and his speed is a standout attribute, as he is a state champion in the 100-meter dash.

Flowers will be joining a strong defensive back class at Florida, which also includes Ben Hanks, Drake Stubbs, Lagonza Hayward, and Onis Konanbanny.
