After a massive $300 million spending spree, the Minnesota Vikings are expected to have their eyes on South Carolina Gamecocks standout Nick Emmanwori in the 2025 NFL Draft, which is now just weeks away.
With draft predictions heating up, Athlon Sports NFL analyst Luke Easterling believes Emmanwori would be a “perfect fit” for the Vikings. Easterling highlighted that Emmanwori brings a rare combination of size, athleticism, and playmaking ability, making him an ideal match for defensive coordinator Brian Flores’ system.
The Vikings have been busy bolstering their roster, with 14 new signings and trades totaling over $300 million in just a week in early March, according to ESPN. Meanwhile, quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ future remains uncertain.
On March 26, Vikings GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah shared that while they are optimistic about their current quarterback room, they are still keeping an eye on potential upgrades. Regarding Rodgers, Adofo-Mensah stated that the decision ultimately lies with the veteran quarterback, who is not yet under contract with the team.
However, Emmanwori’s talents have caught the attention of several other NFL teams as well. According to Pro Day reports, defensive backs coach Gerald Alexander of the Steelers spoke with Emmanwori, and teams like the Falcons, Panthers, Seahawks, Dolphins, and Bengals have also shown interest in the versatile defensive prospect.
