NEWSNOW; Giancarlo Stanton’s Latest Injury Twist Makes Zero Sense — What Are the Yankees Hiding?

Yankees’ Offensive Woes Continue as Confusing Stanton Injury Update Surfaces

Despite an eight-run explosion in Saturday’s win over the San Francisco Giants, the New York Yankees are still searching for consistency at the plate. The 2025 season started off with a bang, as the Yankees torched the Milwaukee Brewers’ pitching staff on Opening Weekend, creating buzz across the league. But since then, the offense has cooled dramatically—outside of Aaron Judge, Ben Rice, and Paul Goldschmidt, most of the lineup has been struggling.

Amid this slump, the hope of Giancarlo Stanton returning to provide a spark remains slim. The slugger has yet to make an appearance this season after spring training was derailed by discomfort in both elbows. Unfortunately, each new update on his status seems to add more confusion than clarity.

Manager Aaron Boone attempted to put a positive spin on the latest update, but left more questions than answers. Speaking ahead of Sunday’s game, Boone mentioned that Stanton was in New York with the team and had been taking swings in the batting cage. But he also threw in a puzzling comment—Stanton is “starting to move around more outside.”

That vague remark did little to reassure fans, many of whom are still wondering when (or if) Stanton will return to help jumpstart the Yankees’ lineup.
