The New England Patriots have multiple avenues to address their need for an edge rusher this offseason. While signing a top free agent is one option, drafting a promising prospect is another—or they could do both.
In a recent episode of NESN’s *Foxboro Rush*, George Balekji and Travis Thomas discussed some of the top linebackers and edge rushers set to participate in the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. Balekji singled out Georgia standout Jalon Walker as a player to watch and outlined a “dream” scenario for the Patriots to revamp their defensive front.
“Imagine if the Patriots sign Josh Sweat in free agency,” Balekji said. “You’d have Josh Sweat, Keion White, and Christian Barmore as three of your four down linemen, with Jalon Walker potentially rounding out the group. … That’s a dream scenario.”
