According to Diana Russini of The Athletic, the Minnesota Vikings are among the teams showing interest in former Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp. Kupp, the Super Bowl 56 MVP, has strong ties to the Vikings’ coaching staff, with head coach Kevin O’Connell and offensive coordinator Wes Phillips both having been part of the Rams during their Super Bowl-winning season.
After the Rams released Kupp on March 12, he became a potential target for Minnesota. Russini shared on the “Gojo and Golic” podcast on March 13 that several teams are eyeing Kupp, with his asking price in the range of $14-15 million. Along with the Vikings, teams like Seattle, Jacksonville, and Green Bay are reportedly interested.
Despite the Vikings’ interest in Kupp, they are also exploring younger options. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the team is hosting former Atlanta Falcons and Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Rondale Moore for a visit.

Moore, just 24 years old, offers more versatility as a slot receiver and could add speed to the offense. At 5-foot-8 and 180 pounds, Moore ran a 4.32 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine and has shown his athleticism with 135 receptions, 1,201 yards, and 249 rushing yards over three seasons with the Cardinals.
Moore, however, has a concerning injury history, as he missed the 2023 season with a knee injury, while Kupp, at 30, could be nearing the decline of his career. The price difference between the two is significant: Kupp offers proven reliability as a chain-mover, while Moore would be more of a dynamic gadget player in the offense. The Vikings are looking to strengthen their receiver depth, especially with Jalen Nailor struggling as the third receiver and Jordan Addison’s potential suspension looming following his DUI case.
