The Minnesota Vikings’ quarterback situation may be uncertain, but whoever takes the reins in the Land of 10,000 Lakes will have a new weapon at wide receiver. On Wednesday evening, the team announced that wide receiver Rondale Moore has agreed to terms on a contract. The 24-year-old has been out of action since 2023, but he’s set to return to the field with the Vikings.
In March 2024, Moore was traded from the Arizona Cardinals, where he spent the first three years of his career, to the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for quarterback Desmond Ridder. Unfortunately, Moore suffered a knee injury during training camp, forcing him to miss the entire 2024 season. Now, he’s looking to bounce back and make an impact in Minnesota.
Throughout his brief but eventful career, Moore has caught 182 passes for 1,201 yards and three touchdowns. In addition to his receiving stats, he has contributed as a return specialist, with 22 punt returns and 13 kick returns, showing his versatility and playmaking ability.
Moore, a second-round draft pick in 2021, remains best known for his incredible college career at Purdue. The New Albany, Indiana native made a huge splash in his freshman season, earning consensus All-American honors after helping the Boilermakers pull off an unforgettable upset over a highly-ranked Ohio State team in 2018.
As the Vikings look to solidify their receiving corps, Moore’s talent could provide the boost they need, offering both deep threat potential and special teams contributions. With a fresh start in Minnesota, Moore will be looking to prove that he can stay healthy and return to his explosive form.
