Steal of the Draft? South Carolina Star Tight End Josh Simon Lands with Falcons After Going Undrafted!

As the 2025 NFL Draft wrapped up on Saturday, tight end Joshua Simon found a home with the Atlanta Falcons, signing as an undrafted free agent.

Simon heads to Atlanta after a standout finish to his college career, becoming one of the top tight ends in the SEC. Known for his physicality, reliable hands, and solid blocking, he brings a well-rounded skill set to the NFL.

In 2024, Simon recorded 40 receptions for 519 yards, cementing himself as a key contributor to South Carolina’s offense. Over his two seasons with the Gamecocks, he totaled 775 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. Across his full collegiate career, including his time at Western Kentucky, Simon accumulated 1,921 yards and 25 touchdowns.

His strong 2024 campaign earned him Fourth-Team All-SEC honors from Phil Steele and Honorable Mention All-SEC recognition from College Football Nation.

With his ability to stretch the field, win contested catches, and block effectively, Simon is set to be a versatile and dependable weapon for the Falcons at tight end.
