TEAM-NEWS: Vikings Eyeing Possible Move for Super Bowl MVP WR As $80 Million All-Pro WR Sparks Vikings Buzz After Revealing ‘Fans’ in Minnesota Organization

The Minnesota Vikings boast one of the most potent offenses in the NFL, but they can’t afford to get complacent. Adding someone like Los Angeles Rams Pro Bowl wide receiver and former Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp could be a perfect fit.

Kupp recently revealed that the Rams have told him they will explore trade options for him.

ESPN’s Kevin Seifert reported that Kupp has “supporters” within the Vikings organization.

“Just to clarify: I don’t know anything for sure,” Seifert tweeted on February 3. “Wide receiver isn’t a pressing need for the Vikings, they can’t afford to give up more draft picks, and these situations usually lead to a release. However, there are plenty of Cooper Kupp fans among the Minnesota coaching staff.”

The Vikings hold just one pick – No. 24 overall – in the top 100 selections of the 2025 draft. They also have four-time Pro Bowler Justin Jefferson, with 2023 first-round pick Jordan Addison showing potential as his counterpart. Last season, 2022 sixth-round pick Jalen Nailor served as WR3, and they heavily rely on tight end T.J. Hockenson.

However, Seifert’s final comment may carry the most weight. Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell, who was the Rams’ offensive coordinator from 2020 to 2021, has a history with Kupp.

Kupp remains a reliable target when healthy.
