Breakingnews : “Yankees Eye Blockbuster Trade for $25 Million All-Star Third Baseman! ⚾️ Could This Be the Move That Shakes Up the MLB?”

The New York Yankees are starting to reach panic mode with acquiring an infielder. Second and/or third base are still in need of an upgrade as the season draws closer and while all options are on the table, something needs to happen soon.

The door may not be closed completely on Alex Bregman, but the Yankees should move to the trade market for this All-Star third baseman. Eugenio Suárez hit .256 in 2024 with 30 home runs and 101 RBI in his first season with the Arizona Diamondbacks. This past season was the fourth straight for him with at least 20 home runs and 75 RBI over three different teams.

Suárez was a stalwart defensively in 2024 as well. Baseball Savant shows he was in the 82nd percentile with range and recording outs above average. Even at 33, he’s still getting it done consistently at the hot corner. Here is what a potential trade could look like: New York Yankees acquire: 3B Eugenio Suárez Arizona Diamonbacks acquire: RP Mark Leiter Jr, RHP Clayton Beeter (Yankees No. 19 prospect in 2024) Suárez would be a major upgrade to the Yankees infield as the everyday third baseman. Acquiring him would allow Jazz Chisholm Jr. and D.J. LeMahieu to platoon at second base, and the team would get stellar defense from Suárez as well.

He is set to make $15 million in 2025 as a club option, but the Yankees would look to extend him on a short-term basis. The Diamondbacks would receive Mark Leiter Jr. who recorded a 4.50 ERA between the Yankees and Chicago Cubs. It was a slight down year for Leiter, but he is expected to bounce back in 2025. He would immediately slot in toward the back end of the Diamondbacks bullpen. Clayton Beeter would provide the organization with a depth arm for the rotation. He spent most of 2024 with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and posted a 2.25 ERA over 10 games with seven of them being starts.
