Braves Go Bold with Cultural Celebration Night You Won’t Want to Miss

To kick off Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month, the Atlanta Braves will host their annual AANHPI Night on Friday, May 2, when they face the Los Angeles Dodgers at Truist Park. With Braves Country home to a rich and diverse AANHPI community, the team looks forward to honoring their cultures and contributions both on and off the field with cultural performances, educational moments, and recognition of local AANHPI leaders.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early at The Battery Atlanta for live cultural performances by the Hong Hing Lion Dance Team and Mahealani Polynesian Entertainment Group on the Plaza Green near the Georgia Power Pavilion. Additionally, the ‘Asian Street Eats’ food truck outside the Right Field Gate will offer a flavorful menu including Beef Bulgogi Bao, Pork Dumplings, Hawaiian Hot Honey Ginger Sticky Wings, and more.

The celebration continues with pre-game festivities at Truist Park, where AANHPI leaders from the community will be honored with ceremonial roles such as throwing out the first pitch and announcing “play ball.”
